The Learning Center

The Learning Center is designed to equip individuals with the tools needed to compete in today's workplace and to assist them with the life skills necessary to build a successful home. Computer literacy classes, GED classes, job interview instruction, etc. will prepare them for situations they will encounter as a member of today's workforce or as a student in higher education. These classes will be teamed with an assortment of personal finance, parenting and homemaking seminars as well as workshops designed to address daily facets of life at work, school, or in the home. There will be a fully equipped computer lab comprised of current hardware and software technology and network access that will serve as a valuable resource for those enrolled in classes and will help create an educational environment. In the midst of today's stress-filled and fast-paced lives, all of us encounter situations - either recent or long-standing - that would seek to overwhelm us. It is during these times that it benefits us to talk to someone who can understand us and help us deal constructively with our thoughts and feelings.

Dave Vanderlinden is an experienced counselor whohe moved to Rochester. Dave is pleased now to be associated with Joy Community Church and offering counseling at GNOC. Dave also leads a Christ-Centered addictions support group held at the Counseling Center every Wednesday at 6 pm. You do not need to make an appointment to attend. It is open to all. Please enter by going up the staircase in the back of the building.

The Counseling Center is open Tuesdays,

Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2 to 6 pm.
