Intercessors/Neighborhood Association Report:

The Block Party was successful. There was a Gospel concert, horse rides, jugglers, and a story time. It was estimated that 300 people attended. The pocket park had benches installed before the party and there was an official ribbon cutting to dedicate the park. The neighborhood was excited about the party.

The Backyard Bible Club was held the week before the Block Party and was run by the same group from Pennsylvania that did it last year. There were 16-20 kids in attendance.

The association will meet next week to review what has been accomplished and to plan for the future.

Executive Director’s Report:

Dr. Morehouse reported that Billie Jo Young, NP has left and Jennifer L. Celso, PA has started seeing patients. She has received her credentials, and patients like her.

The final step for the Article 28 Clinic is to prepare a quality assurance plan, currently being prepared by Elaine Vigar. Once this is complete and has been accepted in Albany, a site inspection will be held.

The Bay at Goodman clinic renovations are moving forward. It will be a neighborhood outreach center. There will be an Embracing options satellite office and a Medical Clinic staffed by Alicea Reeves. This should be open in the fall. This will be treated as a private practice that is supervised by Dr. Morehouse.

Dr. Grinion is having difficulty getting credentialed by the insurance companies. He sent a note asking to be released from his lease and given time to repay his back rent and utilities. His rent is $400 per month plus utilities. W. Walence moved and seconded by A. Martorana that Dr. Grinion is released from his lease without penalty and that he can pay back what he owes over six months. This passed unanimously.

The testing will be free. The STD program may be in place by this fall. Jessica is preparing a PowerPoint presentation on her program.
