About the Arnett Block Association

Part of being FOR the good of Rochester begins within the neighborhoods we serve. His Branches is active in several community collaborative partnerships focused on improving safety and sense of community in the 19th Ward and Beechwood Neighborhoods.

In the 19th Ward, we sponsor the Arnett Block Association led by Susan Morehouse. This neighborhood group runs an annual Bike Clinic each spring and other special events over the years, including the Arnett Block Party.

They tend to the neighborhood Bird and Butterfly Garden located next door to the Library for which they recently received special recognition from the City of Rochester. They also offer services and support to local schools, and help with programs at the Arnett Branch library.

This past year, the Arnett Block Association was a contributing group in the Complete Streets Makeover in June that increased safety measures and beautified community spaces at the corner of Arnett Blvd and Warwick Ave. You can read all about that project HERE and enjoy this video highlighting the process!

In Beechwood, we are located in the Gerhardt Neighborhood Outreach Center at Joy Community Church where our partners run food pantries, counseling services, and youth programs throughout the week.
