Mental Health Care IS Health Care.

Here at His Branches Community Health Center, we value quality care of the whole person, including physical, spiritual, and mental health. Our skilled team of mental health providers work with individuals, families, couples, and children (age 3+) using a trauma-informed care approach that meets the personal needs of each client. Through tailored conversation, our psychotherapists work with their patients to develop a personalized plan of treatment and counseling focused on the patient's needs for symptom relief, problem solutions or lifestyle changes. Counseling is available both in-person and online. This service is available to all, regardless if you are a medical patient of His Branches.

If you are interested in connecting with us for mental health services, please let us know by giving us a call at (585) 235-2250 or by clicking the New Patient Interest Form button and our team will be in touch to get you started with one of our providers. If you are a current patient of His Branches, talk to your medical provider about your mental health care options. Whatever life circumstance you’re going through where extra support is needed, we’re here for you!

Gio Torres, MFT-LP

I love working with individuals, couples, and families to develop better patterns of communication, a greater sense of emotional awareness and expression, and safe places to process trauma and heal. Additionally, I work with men struggling with relationship challenges, porn use, and anger management. Connection, growth, and emotional well-being are cornerstones in my practice. I, therefore, love using trauma informed emotionally focused therapy, IFS, and contextual couples therapy to help clients meet and maintain their goals.

I firmly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and thus first and foremost make sure to develop a safe, compassionate, and meaningful relationship with my clients. It is important to me that therapy is a safe space to process and grow.

I am currently accepting clients for in-person and online sessions. Finding a therapist can be difficult and therapy can be a scary thing. However, it is never a wrong choice to prioritize your relationships, emotional/mental health, and growth. Please reach out when you are ready.
