ROC the Street with Love

Join the Movement of Generosity
Tuesday, Dec 2nd!

Approximately 1,054 Rochester residents are unhoused, sleeping in cars and encampments; a 13% increase from 2024, according to stats releases by Partners Ending Homelessness. Whether they are veterans (~105), domestic abuse survivors ( ~94), elderly ( ~175), or children (~273), many of these individuals require timely, compassionate medical care and intervention.

Significant barriers exist in reaching these individuals, including a lack of trust, limited transportation, and the daily challenges of survival. Since launching our Street Medicine program in June, we have treated 135 patients by sending our team out to provide on-the-spot medical care. Through this mobile, relationship-based approach, we aim to connect with at least 200 individuals in temporary shelters or encampments by the end of 2025.

This is where we need YOU to step in and come alongside us as we continue to meet people where they are!

Tuesday, December 2nd you have the opportunity to join our entire community in an annual movement of generosity as we come together to lift up local nonprofits doing life-changing work. Here are 8 ways your Roc the Day donation dollars directly help us at His Branches provide fundamental care and basic essentials to these individuals as we head into the colder, Rochester winter months ahead:

A gift of just $10 helps us purchase a pair of warm gloves. $15 provides a sock hat or pair of wool socks, both essentials for the wet and cold weather ahead. A donation of $20 stretches to purchase a stash of protein bars for food emergencies or the cost of a prescription necessary for someone’s care.

Most of these individuals lack access to transportation, which is often needed to reach a pharmacy or a treatment center, but a $25 donation can help us provide a medical cab when needed. With $30 we can provide patients with warm blankets to get through the winter. $50 helps us restock mobile medical supply kits (gauze, nail clippers, epsom salts, bandages, ointments, blood test equipment, etc), allowing us to provide street side wound care, foot cleanings, treatments, and testing.

If you’d like to donate early, go ahead and click the button below. Otherwise, we hope you’ll consider supporting us on December 2nd!
